Introduction

For the last three years, I have been shaving my head at least two times a month. I have usually cut my hair in the bathroom, but this year, the bathroom in my suite did not have an electrical outlet, so I was forced to start cutting my hair in the hallway. My three short film segments depict the steps I usually take to prepare for my haircut. I have used the following cinematic elements to show this process: slow disclosure, multi-angularity, and the mise-en-scène. I will try to explain what my goals were in planning the shoot with these elements in mind, and whether or not I was able to achieve my goals in the end after editing.
